Jeff Huntington, the renowned American painter was born in 1970 in San Antonio, Texas. From early childhood, he was attracted to art and was determined to make his career out of it. In his teens, he started making tie-dyed T-shirts and selling them across the country with the band “Grateful Dead”. In 1990 he joined the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design in Washington D.C. and got his BFA in 1995. He continued his study to earn his Masters in Fine Arts degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1997. One of them is the huge mural painted on the exterior of the Tsunami restaurant on West Street of Annapolis, shows a golden faced Buddha with a screaming nurse from the massacre scene in the soviet movie of 1925, which was simultaneously praised and criticised.
